cha cha char (again)
starters : im sold on the moo juice…. i dunno what it is but it comes in this little porcelain cow and you pour it outta his nose onto your bread roll. it’s like they took a piece of steak and ran it through a blender and turned it into liquid. 9/10
entree : sandcrab omelette…. half a battered sandcrab and the other half mixed into an omelette. GOLD! everything tastes better with eggs. 9/10
main : wagyu rump with the obligitary soft fried organic egg on top and a side of double mash. 9/10
there’s so many other restaurants but why would you go anywhere else?

entree : sea scallops on some mushy crab thing. 8/10
main : sirloin with organic egg and double cream mash….. sirloin’s not a cut i normally order but i figured i’d give it a shot, it was pretty damn good - and once again i can’t rave enough about that egg on top. 9/10
man i love cha cha char… and im starting to get used to cascade light too

i somehow wound up with a hotdog in my hand at about 2am….. go out in the cbd and you end up eating hotdogs. go out in the valley and you end up eating kebabs. why is it so?

i can’t begin to bag this place enough…. over priced wanker food - no steak, nothing that any one in their right mind would order willingly
entree : spinach and cottage cheese pie thing - i swear it came out of a mccain frozen meal package. 3/10
main : some chicken breast thing - meh, overpriced wanker food. 4/10
yesterday dinner - metro hotel
steak sanger - no pretentious wanker food, for 8 bucks you can’t go wrong. 8/10

so i was cleaning up today and i found my most recent super statement…. i actually read it this time
nearly 15% of what i put in went to the taxman - WTF?!?!? im forced to put this money where i cant even touch it and they tax me on the way in?!?!?! WTF I SAY!!!!
and then another 5% goes to “insurance”…. wtf am i insured for?!?!?
so pretty much i lost 20% of what i put in….. what a scam

in a desperate attempt to come up with some content for this seriously neglected corner of the web i’ve come up with a new idea….. a chronological log of various steaks that end up in my guts - the possibilities are huge, perhaps i’ll be able to chart the rise and fall of various restaurants based on my perception of their steak quality over time. perhaps this site will become the hip and happening place to be if you’re looking for a good steak. perhaps ill end up with some lucrative cash for comment offers to give some places a good rating…. or perhaps i’ll do this for a coupla days and then forget all about it :/

wagyu with mushroom sauce - 8/10. good steak, good baked spud, standard fare from the ck.
friday 03/11/06 norman hotel
rump with mushroom sauce - 6.5/10. steak was pretty fatty and their knives made tough work of it in some places. baked spud wasn’t quite cooked enough. table service sucked
